Belleville General Hospital
Belleville General Hospital (BGH) sits on the shore of the stunning Bay of Quinte. The City of Belleville features a mix of small-town charm and big-city amenities. It is a growing city, with exciting culinary experiences, sheltered waterways for boating and ice fishing, fun festivals and entertainment, beautiful trails and golf courses, a popular farmer’s market, unique shops and services, as well as popular big box and large-scale retail.
Belleville General Hospital is the largest of Quinte Health’s hospitals, with two medicine units, critical care (ICU), a lively emergency department, a wide range of surgical and diagnostic services, a busy maternal child unit, a children’s treatment centre, inpatient and outpatient stroke and rehabilitation care, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and the regional Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic. BGH works closely with the other three Quinte Health hospital teams, as well as regional and provincial health centres to serve our communities.

North Hastings Hospital (NHH) is located in the small, picturesque town of Bancroft. It sits on the edge of Algonquin Park, one of the largest provincial parks in Ontario, featuring numerous lakes, rivers and a range of wildlife. Situated in a beautiful part of Ontario’s ‘cottage country’, Bancroft boasts a relaxing lifestyle, a close-knit community, and provides opportunity to explore nature, snowmobile on incredible trails, and participate in fishing and water sports on various lakes.
North Hastings Hospital is the smallest and most rural of Quinte Health’s four hospitals, and works closely with the Bancroft Family Health Team. It is a six-bed primary care hospital that operates a busy, 24/7 emergency department (including emergency obstetrics). The inpatient beds are available for medical and palliative care services. North Hastings Hospital also provides diagnostic services, physiotherapy, outreach clinics and telemedicine services. NHH works closely with the other three Quinte Health hospitals, as well as regional health centres, to serve the community together.
The North Hastings Hospital team is truly like one big family. They not only work together, but often spend time together within the community. They are incredibly dedicated and resourceful, ensuring that the people who seek care at NHH have positive outcomes and experiences.
Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) is located in extraordinary Prince Edward County, which is surrounded by 800km of shoreline and is home to world-renowned Sandbanks Provincial Park. Prince Edward County, known to locals as “The County”, is bustling with artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, winemakers, chefs, and nature lovers. Whether you enjoy a day at the beach, cycling along farm-lined roads, enjoying a glass of wine and a wood-fired pizza, bird watching, camping, or simply strolling to shops and restaurants, “The County” provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxed lifestyle, close to the amenities of a larger city in Belleville.
PECMH, which sees more than 40,000 patients each year, is being rebuilt as a leading edge facility, equipped to meet today's standards of exceptional care. The new hospital is anticipated to open in 2027 and will continue to offer a range of services including 24/7 emergency care, various outpatient clinics, diagnostic imaging (with CT being added in the new hospital), endoscopy, dialysis and palliative care. The hospital works closely with Prince Edward County Family Health Team, the other Quinte Health hospitals, and regional health centres, to serve the community together.

Trenton Memorial Hospital (TMH) is located in Quinte West, along the beautiful Bay of Quinte. Home to Canada’s largest military air base, 8 Wing Trenton, this area boasts exceptional beaches and nature trails, and offers boating, fishing, festivals, and community events that will enrich your family life. Adjacent to the beautiful communities of Belleville, Brighton, Prince Edward and Hastings Counties, Quinte West has so much to offer.
Trenton Memorial Hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, has a bustling inpatient unit for acute medical and complex continuing care patients, performs an array of day surgery procedures and is the regional centre for ophthalmology. TMH also provides a range of outpatient clinical and diagnostic services including cardiology, pulmonary function testing, diabetes education and management, medical day clinic, mammography, CT, X-ray and laser light urology.
The staff, physicians and volunteers at TMH are passionate about providing quality care and treat patients like extended family. They are a skilled, compassionate team of health care professionals with an undeniable loyalty to their hospital and each other.
