“I came into the hospital the night of Nov 23, in labour. I was quickly admitted, and assigned a lovely nurse named Deanna. She was with me from 11 p.m. through to the end of her shift. My labour stalled and she expertly tried many different ways to progress my labour. At times, baby’s heart rate would decrease and she stayed calm and walked me through how she was working to assist baby. Around 6:50 a.m. she suggested I try sitting up, which was what I needed, and baby was born shortly after 7 a.m.

Labour was very fast and Deanna had already given her report and was done her shift but stayed to help with my quick delivery. She was so happy and kind all night long even though she was very busy and did not receive her break. I just wanted to share my appreciation for all of the wonderful staff I met during my Labour & Delivery stay, but Deanna was exceptional. Dr. Julie Anderson was also a wonderful delivery OB. My postpartum care has also been wonderful. I’m feeling truly blessed to have had such a wonderful stay as I welcomed my 5th baby.”
