Encouraging Local Students to Explore a World of Healthcare Careers — Including Lesser-Known but Vital Roles in Diagnostics
As students across the region submit their college and university applications, Quinte Health is encouraging young people to look beyond the familiar paths in healthcare and discover the wide range of rewarding, high-demand careers that exist right here in their community.
From nuclear medicine technologists and sonographers to lab technologists, respiratory therapists, and medical radiation technologists, many of these essential professions play a behind-the-scenes role in delivering high-quality patient care every single day.

Across Quinte Health’s four hospitals, Diagnostic Imaging teams perform more than 170,000 imaging procedures each year, providing critical information that guides treatment decisions for patients of all ages. As healthcare needs grow with an aging population and increasing demand for services, skilled professionals in these specialized fields are in greater need than ever.

You’ll use radiopharmaceuticals and special cameras to uncover how the heart pumps, how the brain works, or whether cancer treatments are doing their job.
