So Pleased With Emergency Care at BGH
“On a Thursday morning, I arrived at Belleville General Hospital just before 9 a.m. and it was busy according to staff. Triage was kind and registration was also sweet and advised that the green zone was very packed and noisy, so it would be okay to sit in the quieter area as she could tell I was in pain (first attack of diverticulitis). I found a bench to lie down on and the lovely hospital volunteer (a complete angel from the moment I arrived) brought me a warm blanket that was GREATLY appreciated.
I was able to rest until being called for lab work. Once in the emergency department, Dr. Devins and all the nursing staff were kind, showed empathy, and were quick to get tests ordered all the while keeping me informed on possible outcomes. I was discharged around 5 p.m. with prescriptions in hand and information to support my recovery. I am SO pleased with the care I received and would like to give a HUGE shout-out to every staff member who assisted in my care that day.”
– a grateful patient
