President and CEO Stacey Daub recently spent time with Tracie Woodcox, a dedicated member of our Patient Registration Team at North Hastings Hospital (NHH). Tracie shared an overview of her time at Quinte Health and the key role she and her team play in the operation of our hospitals.

Bancroft is Tracie’s community. Working in her small community hospital means she often cares for her friends, neighbours, and family members as part of the hospital team. She is often the first face of the hospital. She creates welcome displays for different seasons to greet people coming into the hospital with a bit of joy.

“I loved the stories of her hunting family, and she gave me some really amazing venison stew recipes, which speaks to the connection to land and people that she feels and lives every day,” Stacey explained. “Given the size of the hospital, the roles at NHH are less distinct and much more fluid. Tracie plays a social connector role – building and contributing to a sense of belong and community within the hospital.”
