Inquires About a Patient’s Health

Family members wishing to inquire about a patient’s health can request to be connected to the nursing station where your loved one is receiving care. The unit can be reached using the phone numbers listed below. If you are not sure where your loved one is receiving care, you can contact our switchboard – available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week – and provide the patient’s name. They can then connect you to the appropriate nursing station.

We request that one person be assigned to call and then share the information with the rest of your family. Please note that due to patient confidentiality, information about a patient’s health can not be released to anyone other than a family member and only with consent.

Phoning Patients

Dial one of the telephone numbers listed below and then press 0 to reach the Switchboard. Patient room number, telephone extension and directions to patient rooms are provided at the Switchboard.

Mail

Any mail addressed to patients will be delivered to their room. Please address the mail with the patient’s name, unit and room number to the appropriate hospital address. It’s important to include your return address as sometimes patients are discharged by the time mail arrives for them.
