Effective Sept 3 – Medical masks are now required in patient-facing areas of our hospitals, such as emergency departments, clinics, waiting rooms, diagnostic imaging, and inpatient units (including while visiting patients in their rooms). Masks are available at hospital entrances.
Quinte Health’s team of 2,600 staff and physicians provide care through four emergency departments, operating rooms at three hospitals, a rehabilitation day hospital, ambulatory care clinics, and a range of diagnostic services.
There are more than 335 inpatient beds for acute medical patients, intensive care, obstetrics, paediatrics, mental health, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, and surgery. In addition, Quinte Health is proud to operate the Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre, community mental health programs, and to be a member of the Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team.
Belleville General Hospital (BGH) sits on the shore of the stunning Bay of Quinte. The City of Belleville features a mix of small-town charm and big-city amenities. Belleville General Hospital is the largest of Quinte Health’s hospitals, with two medicine units, critical care (ICU), a lively emergency department, a wide range of surgical and diagnostic services, a busy maternal child unit, a children’s treatment centre, inpatient and outpatient stroke and rehabilitation care, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and the regional Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic. BGH works closely with the other three Quinte Health hospital teams, as well as regional and provincial health centres to serve our communities.

North Hastings Hospital (NHH) is located in the small, picturesque town of Bancroft. It sits on the edge of Algonquin Park, one of the largest provincial parks in Ontario, featuring numerous lakes, rivers, and a range of wildlife. North Hastings Hospital is the smallest and most rural of Quinte Health’s four hospitals and works closely with the Bancroft Family Health Team. It is an eight-bed primary care hospital that operates a busy, 24/7 emergency department (including emergency obstetrics). The inpatient beds are available for medical and palliative care services. North Hastings Hospital also provides diagnostic services, physiotherapy, outreach clinics and telemedicine services. NHH works closely with the other three Quinte Health hospitals, as well as regional health centres, to serve the community together.

Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) is located in extraordinary Prince Edward County, which is surrounded by 800 km of shoreline and is home to world-renowned Sandbanks Provincial Park. PECMH, which sees more than 40,000 patients each year, is being rebuilt as a leading-edge facility, equipped to meet today’s standards of exceptional care. The new hospital is anticipated to open in 2027 and will continue to offer a range of services including 24/7 emergency care, various outpatient clinics, diagnostic imaging (with CT being added in the new hospital), endoscopy, dialysis, and palliative care. The hospital works closely with Prince Edward County Family Health Team, the other Quinte Health hospitals, and regional health centres, to serve the community together.

Trenton Memorial Hospital (TMH) is located in Quinte West, along the beautiful Bay of Quinte. Trenton Memorial Hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, has a bustling inpatient unit for acute medical patients, performs an array of day surgery procedures, and is the regional centre for ophthalmology. TMH also provides a range of outpatient clinical and diagnostic services including cardiology, pulmonary function testing, diabetes education and management, medical day clinic, mammography, CT, X-ray and laser light urology.
