Quinte Health Invites Applications for New Board Members
Quinte Health is inviting applications from community members interested in joining our esteemed Board of Directors to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of local health care. We invite qualified and passionate individuals to apply and contribute to our purpose of “Creating Healthier Communities. Together.”
Quinte Health is a family of four hospitals—Belleville General Hospital, North Hastings Hospital, Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, and Trenton Memorial Hospital in addition to the Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre, Assertive Community Treatment Team, Quinte@Home services, and a Transitional Care Unit located at Quinte Gardens. With a proud and resilient team of more than 3000 staff, physicians and volunteers – our services span a 7000 square kilometre radius.
As a Board Member, you will have the opportunity to help bring our Quinte Health strategy to life, ensuring the best care possible, close to home, for our community. By actively participating in approximately 8 full Board meetings per year and serving on one or two committee meetings 4-5 times annually, you will play a crucial role in decision-making and governance.
Our Board Members are essential contributors to the success of Quinte Health. The Board’s role includes setting the plan for our four interdependent hospitals, monitoring Quinte Health’s ongoing financial health, performance, and patient care, and ensuring an effective two-way flow of communication with the public Quinte Health serves.
As a Board Member, you will be a key player in realizing our aspirations—providing top-notch care, fostering compassion, supporting our people and teams, and building meaningful connections inside and outside the walls of Quinte Health.
While we prefer in-person attendance for full-board meetings, we understand the importance of flexibility. Virtual attendance options are available, allowing you to actively participate in meetings, even with a busy schedule.
